Otava Oppimisen palvelut and Frendie PRO join forces to strengthen the social well-being of the working community and prevent work loneliness.


In the Frendie PRO app, employees can participate in interesting conversations in group chat rooms, create events and find new friends in the work community that they might not otherwise get to know. The Frendie PRO application is a versatile tool that strengthens the sense of community within the organization and helps workplaces with social responsibility reporting in accordance with the responsibility directive. 

 

Through the cooperation, Otava Oppimisen palvelut's personnel will have the opportunity to participate in a research project by Frendie and the University of Eastern Finland, which investigates whether it is possible to strengthen employees' well-being and sense of belonging with the help of a mobile application. This is a great opportunity to participate in developing the well-being of working communities – in Otava Oppimisen palvelut and elsewhere!

Who is the research for & how do you also benefit from it?

The research is intended for all personnel of Otava Oppimisen palvelut's who wants to have a positive impact on workplace community and reducing loneliness. If you are interested in improving both your own and your work community's well-being, this is your opportunity to participate and share your experience. All opinions are important, and with their help we can develop the service even better. ​

 

The purpose of the longitudinal study funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund is to investigate whether a mobile application offered at workplaces can improve employees' social well-being, interpersonal relationships and reduce experiences of loneliness. The research project is led by Postdoctoral Researcher Siiri-Liisi Kraav from the University of Eastern Finland.

 

By participating in the research, you get the opportunity to influence the development of your own work community. You can share your thoughts and experiences about how the application helps you in building social relationships in the workplace. At the same time, you are involved in supporting the wider development of well-being at work, which can improve both you and other employees' work comfort in the long term.

How to create a Frendie PRO profile

  1. Create profile using an email address and a password of your choice. If you have a PRO code from your organization, you can add it at this stage. You can also activate the PRO account later after creating a profile.
     

  2. Verify the profile by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your email.
     

  3. Fill in the basic information of your profile, such as nickname, age, place of residence, interests, a short introductory text and a profile picture. The profile can be updated and supplemented later.
     

  4. Log in to the Frendie app using the generated credentials (email and password). Browse profiles and send friend requests. At the bottom left, you can find your organization-specific PRO platform. If you did not add the PRO code during the login phase, you can add it in this view to open the PRO platform. You can also add and remove PRO codes in your own profile.

You can activate your PRO account in three different ways.

Activate the PRO account when creating a user account.

If you haven't created a user account on Frendie yet, you can activate your PRO account right away when you create a user account.

Activate code on the PRO tab.

If you have already created a Frendie user account, you can navigate to the one found in the lower left corner of the application       icon and click yourself to the PRO page. Paste the PRO code you received in the field intended for it. Press the plus sign and your organization's PRO platform is activated.

Manage PRO accounts through your profile page.

If you want to activate another PRO account or deactivate your PRO account, you can do so via your own profile page. Finally, remember to save the changes made to your profile using the 'Save changes' button.
